Here's another suggestion- for Kaya

They say: "Nex Perce children spent a lot of time outdoors and were trained to be active and strong. Kaya loved games that tested her speed and strength, such as racing horses and running foot races. Gather at least 2 firends and runa race the way Kaya would have. First, find a straight, level stretch in a yard or playground. Place several stones or markers across the middle of the yard. Next walk 100 paces in each direction from the center line and set 2 stones there to mark the starting spots. Pick one player to be the starter and 2 to race. The starter goes to the center and calles, "Take your places," The racers take their positions at the starting spots facing the centerline. The starter raises her hand. When she drops it the race begins. The first one across the center line wins.

For Kirsten:
Play Hop, Step, Jump (we did this with 8 year olds, too- some were a little uncoordinated and had some trouble)

There was plenty of room for this game in the prairie surrounding Kirsten's home. Mark a line for a starting point. About 10 feet away, mark another line. This is the "spring" line. The first player runs from the starting point to the spring line. Then she hops 3 times on one leg, takes one long step, and finally makes the longest jump she can. The player to hop, step and jump the farthest away from the spring line is the winner.

For Addy:
Play the "feather game"
Addy's family had little money for toys and her crowded city neighborhood offered little space to play. But Addy knew lots of games that didn't require much money or space. For the game of Feather, all she needed was a feather from M'dear's pet bird, Sunny. Gatther your friends and sit in a small circle. Toss a feather into the air and blow on it to keep it floating. Everyone in the circle joins in to try and keep the feather in the air as long as possible. If the feather falls to the floor, start over.
